Catalogue export
In the Catalogue section you choose how WooCommerce product fields map onto the product card in the app: barcode, brand, related products, description and the stock figure for products without inventory tracking. The catalogue is built on the site side and loaded into the app automatically.
How to open it
In the WordPress admin panel open WooCommerce, Settings, Integrations, MobiusApp, and scroll to the Catalogue section. The section is only available after connecting.
What is always exported
The basics of the card come from the WooCommerce product automatically:
- name, SKU, description, photos (the main one and the gallery);
- product categories, from the WooCommerce product categories;
- price and sale price;
- stock, if inventory tracking is on;
- weight, converted to kilograms;
- attributes, from the product attributes.
Products with variations (colour and size, say) are exported like this: each variation becomes a separate app product, while simple products without variations become ordinary products. That way the whole catalogue reaches the app.
What you can configure
The Catalogue section offers these fields:
- Barcode: where the barcode comes from, the product's GTIN field or nothing.
- Brand: the brand taxonomy, WooCommerce Brands, one of the product attributes, or nothing.
- Related products: what to show as related, upsells, cross-sells, or nothing.
- Product description: the full or the short description.
- Stock when tracking is off: the stock figure to send for in-stock products without inventory tracking.
- Refresh schedule: how often to rebuild and send the catalogue.
After changing the settings press "Save changes".
Refreshing the catalogue
On a schedule
In the "Refresh schedule" field choose the frequency: hourly, every 6 or 12 hours, daily, or manual only. The plugin rebuilds the catalogue regularly and mobiusapp picks the changes up.
By hand
To assemble and send the catalogue at once, press "Refresh the catalogue now" in the Connection block.
After the first connection, loading the catalogue into mobiusapp starts automatically. If you need to reload it into the app by hand, do it in the cabinet: open YML import, make sure the catalogue address is filled in, tick "Clear the whole catalogue" on the first load and press the import button.
Scenarios
First catalogue setup
- Choose the sources for the barcode, brand, related products and description.
- Give the stock figure for products without inventory tracking.
- Choose the refresh schedule.
- Press "Save changes".
- Press "Refresh the catalogue now" to assemble the catalogue immediately.
Do not export the brand
- In the Catalogue section set the Brand field to nothing.
- Save the changes and refresh the catalogue.
Limits and caveats
- Categories in the app are built from WooCommerce product categories.
- Product weight is sent in kilograms regardless of the shop's unit.
- A sale price is shown only when the product has an active sale price set.
- Products without a price do not appear in the price export, but their stock is still sent.
The catalogue is exported in YML (Yandex Market Language) format at a protected address under the site domain (the address does not depend on WordPress permalink settings). The link between a product in the catalogue, in prices and stock and in orders is the external identifier, the WooCommerce product or variation ID. Categories are identified by the numeric taxonomy term ID. The same identifiers are used when sending prices and stock and when matching the lines of an incoming order.
