Installation and connection
Connecting has two parts: first install the sync plugin on the site from the WordPress.org directory, then pair the shop with mobiusapp using a one-time code. The code is generated in the cabinet and pasted into the plugin settings on the site.
Step 1. Install the plugin from WordPress.org
The plugin is distributed free through the official WordPress.org directory.
- In the WordPress admin panel open Plugins, Add new.
- Search for "MobiusApp".
- On the "MobiusApp for WooCommerce" plugin press Install, then Activate.
Alternatively, download the archive from the plugin page
wordpress.org/plugins/mobiusapp-for-woocommerce/ and upload it through Plugins,
Add new, Upload plugin.
WooCommerce must be installed and active. Without it the plugin says so and does not enable its features.
Step 2. Open the plugin settings
The plugin settings live in the WooCommerce section.
- In the WordPress admin panel open WooCommerce, Settings.
- Go to the Integrations tab.
- Open MobiusApp.
Until the shop is connected, only the Connection block with the code field is available. The Catalogue, Prices and stock, and Mappings sections appear after a successful connection.
Step 3. Generate a pairing code in mobiusapp
The pairing code is created in the mobiusapp cabinet.
- Sign in to the cabinet.
- Open Settings, the Data exchange group, the Integrations tab.
- Open the WooCommerce card.
- Press "Generate code".
- Copy the code with the Copy button.
The code is single-use and valid for a limited time (about 15 minutes). If you run out of time, generate a new one.
Step 4. Paste the code and connect
Go back to the plugin settings on the site.
- In the Connection block paste the code into the "Pairing code" field.
- Press "Save changes".
The plugin contacts mobiusapp, passes the catalogue address and the order intake settings. The status changes to Connected and the code field disappears.
In the cabinet the integration card updates itself: its status passes through "Waiting for the plugin" and "Connected". The page polls the state on its own; no manual refresh is needed.
What happens right after connecting
- The Catalogue, Prices and stock, and Mappings sections appear on the settings screen.
- The mobiusapp shop directories (warehouses, statuses, delivery and payment methods) are loaded into the plugin; you will pick the mappings from them.
- The first catalogue upload to mobiusapp starts.
Technically the plugin exchanges the code for a merchant-api access token and receives a secret for signing incoming order notifications. The token and the secret are stored encrypted in the site settings and are not shown in the interface. The plugin builds the catalogue export and order intake addresses itself and passes them to mobiusapp on connection and on every connection refresh. Recurring tasks (catalogue, prices and stock, keeping the link alive) run through the WooCommerce action scheduler.
Managing the connection
Once paired, the Connection block offers these buttons:
- Refresh the catalogue now: immediately assembles and sends the catalogue to mobiusapp.
- Refresh prices and stock now: immediately sends prices and stock.
- Refresh directories: reloads the mobiusapp shop directories (warehouses, statuses, delivery, payment). Press it when new statuses or delivery methods appear in the app.
- Resend the settings: re-sends the current addresses and parameters to mobiusapp. Useful when the site domain has changed.
- Disconnect: breaks the link with mobiusapp. Data exchange stops.
The connection status and the times of the last synchronisation, catalogue export and price send are shown next to them.
Scenarios
Reconnect the shop
- Generate a new pairing code in the cabinet.
- In the Connection block paste the code and press "Save changes".
Change the site domain
- After moving to a new domain, open the plugin settings.
- Press "Resend the settings" so the catalogue and order intake addresses are updated in mobiusapp.
Limits and caveats
- The pairing code is single-use and valid for a limited time.
- If the integration is not available on your plan, connecting fails with an error. Check Plan and billing.
- Pressing Disconnect in the cabinet breaks the link from the mobiusapp side. To resume the exchange, connect the shop again with a new code.
