Service zone

An area on the map that a point of sale delivers to, and the delivery price within that area. A point can have several zones.

Zones are needed where a courier is charged by distance rather than by city, which is usually the case for food and water delivery.

How to open it

Settings, the Store group, the Delivery zones block. The "New zone" button creates a zone; clicking a row opens an existing one.

What you can do

• Set the zone name and delivery price
• Draw the service area on the map
• Switch the zone on or off

The interface

• Active: whether the zone is taken into account at checkout.
• Name: required.
• External code: the zone code in an external system. Latin letters, digits, _ and - only.
• Delivery price: required. The price of delivery within this zone.
• Area on the map: the outline can be drawn point by point on the map, or uploaded through a GEO JSON import.

The Cancel and Save buttons are in the form header.

Scenarios

Create a delivery zone

1. In the Store settings, the Delivery zones block, press "New zone".
2. Choose the point of sale the zone belongs to.
3. Enter the name and the delivery price.
4. Mark the service area on the map.
5. Press Save.

Limits and caveats

• The number of zones is limited by your plan. The current value and the ceiling are in Capabilities.
• Zones work in the delivery profile: switch it on in Delivery mode.
• If a shopper's address falls into no zone, the app says delivery there is not available.
