Staff
This is where you add the people who handle orders: managers, operators, couriers. Each gets their own sign-in and their own set of permissions.
Permissions are not a formality. Changing a status and confirming a capture of funds are operations of different weight, and the person picking orders does not need access to refunds.
How to open it
Settings, the Team group. The page also opens through cabinet search by the word "staff".
The section is visible only to the shop owner and only when staff are included in the plan: until the feature is enabled, orders are handled by the account the app was created on.
What you can do
- Add staff and change their passwords
- Assign a role
- Temporarily disable access without deleting the person
- Delete a staff member
The interface
A table of staff: name, email, phone, role, number of permissions, last sign-in and an access flag. Disabled people are marked separately.
The table works like the other lists in the cabinet: column sorting, filters (by name, email, role and access) and a rows-per-page selector. With three people that is unnecessary, but a shop with two courier shifts outgrows one screen, and "last sign-in" answers the owner's most common question: is this person actually working in the console or have they never signed in at all.
The staff form opens in a window: name, email, role, password and an access switch.
Roles
A staff role is not a fixed list but a directory of the shop: it carries permissions and an order visibility scope, is configured on the separate Staff roles page and comes as a ready set of four on first opening.
In the staff list, a role is marked "part of the orders" if it is limited: that way it is visible that the person handles only part of the queue, without opening the role card.
Scenarios
Add a manager
- Press "Add staff member".
- Fill in the name, email and password (at least 8 characters).
- Choose the "Order manager" role.
- Press Save.
- Give the person the console address and their credentials.
Temporarily close access
Open the staff member and switch "Access enabled" off. The account and the history of their actions are kept.
Limits and caveats
- A staff email is unique within the shop.
- Deleting a staff member closes their access on every device immediately.
- A disabled or deleted staff member stays credited in the order history: past entries are not rewritten.
- The shop owner signs into the console with their usual credentials and does not need a staff account.
